Reaction Room

I got this idea when I was bored in the studio. I was playing on my camera and pretending to take pictures of my friend.. but actually I was filming her. I wanted to see how she would react when I told her I actually filmed her.

At the start I told her to smile for the camera so she put this slightly awkward and forced smile.. like everyone does when a camera is pointed in their face. Then when I told her I was actually being filmed, she laughed and a genuine smile/laughter appeared.

From this I decided to focus on human reactions, but I could do other stuff than laughter. I could embarrass my friends, make them scared, make them angry… but capture all of it on film. But it would have to be secret, because people act differently when they know they are being filmed/ are on camera.

-Forced smile (for the camera)
-Laugh/embarrassment of whoopee cushion
-Contentment of the sweet
-happy with the conversation and bubble wrap
(eyes closed)
-grimace reaction from the noise of the balloon
(open eyes)
-Shocked reaction of elastic band
-uneasy about the haribo

Jules’ Room of Reaction

Enter guinea pig
[start video camera]
“Stand and pose for a photograph, okay ready 3…2…1” (fake click)
“Okay now you can sit down (but face the camera)”
[Whoopee cushion reaction]
“Haha, sorry about that.. here have a sweet”
[content reaction]
“Okay here’s a piece of bubble wrap, feel free to play with it”
[general conversation]
“okay can you close your eyes, and don’t open them until I say so”
[let off the noisy balloon, close ish to ear]
“haha, sorry again, okay promise no more scary things. You can open your eyes now”
[elastic band reaction]
“haha.. honest to god that’s the last one. Here have a sweet”
[happy… but a bit concerned reaction]

And can you fill out one of these questionnaires for me. Keep it a secret, I don’t want anyone to know what to expect
