Idea

So my idea for here was to compare the generic smiley face that everyone knows, with the awkward and forced smile for the camera.

The generic smiley is “perfect.”
It has a symmetrical round head, a happy and optimistic yellow colour, no wrinkles, no tongue sticking out, no baring teeth, no double chin.
Basically the forced and fake smile for the camera looks more and more like this generic smiley face.

No one seems to be genuine these days, because everyone is so concious about how they appear to others.

For this idea (which failed to lift off) I wanted to create some sort of new messaging system. So when you send an instant message on facebook, or via text, instead of selecting one of the smileys/ generic emoticons, you send a picture of yourself with the REAL mood. So if you were happy, instead of sending the generic smiley, you send a real image of you being happy, or maybe even a moving image of you dancing happily.

Idea seemed a bit far fetched… so yeah. Complete fail again.
