Crit

For the crit, I needed to gather all my research and produce a piece of work that concluded all my research. I wanted to communicate this message about how we mustn’t forget the art of handwriting. I originally wanted to go to a primary school and pass a piece of paper around a classroom of children and get them to write their first name. I wanted to show the uniqueness of everyone’s handwriting. And with children’s handwriting, I think it is visually more appealing and they don’t care about size, spacing, layout and whether it has to be neat or not. Unfortunately the day I chose to do this, was the day teachers went on strike and the schools were closed for the day.

So instead, I approached random members of the public in Vauxhaul park and asked them to write “Everyone’s handwriting is unique” so it would emphasize the uniqueness of handwriting. I found it fascinating how no one had the same handwriting. This piece didn’t work so well when it came to the crit. If it was on a larger scale with LOTS AND LOTS of people writing that sentence, it could have looked better.
